A Gift for Father's Day

A great Fathers Day gift idea - a cookery course in the Dordogne, France.

If you are struggling to come up with a Fathers Day gift idea, why not give your Dad a really special gift for Fathers Day - a five day/six night cookery course here in the heart of the Dordogne, SW France.

Teach an old dog new tricks and give your Dad (or your husband, even) a little taste of what your Mum (or you) probably goes through every day - thinking up the next meal, buying ingredients, cooking the family dinner with one hand while shuffling chips around with the other.  Washing up!

Send him on our relaxed and friendly hands-on Fathers Day cookery course.

From dreaming up a suitable menu, to strolling around Sarlat market buying fresh local produce, returning to calmly and steadily prepare those ingredients and cook them for our lunch, guided and aided by the chef.

Then, have a rest, stretch out in the shade and (probably) doze off.

It's not all food and cooking...

There will also be plenty of time to have a look around the area and do a bit of sight-seeing too, as well as reading that novel he's been meaning to get stuck into.   Why, he could actually finish that blasted crossword!

With its mild climate and beautiful rolling scenery, quiet roads and sleepy corners, the Dordogne is a very lovely and tranquil place in which to enjoy a Fathers Day gift.

The venue...

Comfortable centrally-heated accommodation is in our magnificent and spacious converted barn. The four large en suite bedrooms can be made into either twins or doubles and all open independently onto the sunny courtyard. The impressive kitchen and lounge area are upstairs under the stupendous vaulted ceiling.
